things were working in the first half return to the ball over but that was the difference in the game. >> niners quarteback colin kaepernick in a somber mood answering questions after the ravens defeated the 49ers in super bowl 47. 34 to 31 in last night's gridiron battle. >> good morning everyone, i'm james fletcher. >> and i'm anny hong, thanks for joining us this morning. it was a tough game to watch. >> it was a nail biter all the way to the end. >>all things niners"" this morning. as we head down to the super dome. ravens started off the first half of the game with three touchdown passes from quarterback joe flacco to open the game with a 21 to six lead over the niners. a second half power outage in the superdome lasted for 35 minutes. the niners trailing 28 to six when the power went out. but the

niners came back to life with 17 points over a four minute stretch in the third quarter. bringing the score to 28- 23 ravens. after then baltimore took a 31 to 23 lead. the niners scored a touchdown to cut it to 31-29. with a failed two-point-conversion. baltimore then added a late field goal and then in the final seconds took an intentional safety to make the final margin 34 31, ravens. niners coach jim harbaugh had this to say after the game. niners quarteback colin kaepernick in a somber mood answering questions after the ravens defeated the 49ers in super bowl 47. 34 to 31 in last night's gridiron battle. >> good morning everyone, i'm james fletcher.

little short this time. it was a great game that is all we could really hope for. >> after the game. it was a quiet night in the marina. so far no arrests have been reported from that area of san francisco. >> however it was a slightly different story in the mission district. while the streets were much quieter than when the giants won the world series. lot of people out in the streets setting off fireworks. as you see here. this is video taken on harrison street near 24th street. you can see people setting off fireworks from the sidewalk. and the middle of the street. video also shows a large gathering of "lowrider" cars parked on the street. overall, it was a pretty quiet night in san francisco. police say 25 people were arrested for public intoxication as the city mourned the super bowl loss. police said in a statement on sunday that the number of arrests was from a preliminary count and the

>> in national news this morning. a shooting at a remote gun range in texas has killed two men, one of them a former navy seal. the man authorities believe is responsible is in custody, but they say they are still trying to figure out what happened. andrew spencer has the story. this was in it glenn rose texas this man, took kyle's pickup truck and went to his sister's house. and after that he admitted to the sister that he shot. >> they have for shackling some and some time past and

all of a sudden he rushed down of the road and they all took off after him. >> he was charged with murder and is being held on a $3 million bond. he was unemployed and has spent three years in the marines. he started a nonprofit with posttraumatic spread stress disorder. >> there has been some discussion that they could have tried to reach out to try to help them. >> if i could describe him he was a circuit later he served others and he was humble. that was andrew spencer, reporting.

santa rosa, novado. and that fog is not that bad but it is present on the interior valleys. fog tracker seeing eminence of the 6:00 a.m. hour with areas of a pretty dense fog. but it will be burning off towards a lunch. do not be surprised if we see some lingering clouds and the bayshore. but i believe that most of the bay area will be clear, dry so we will see some sunshine. here is a look at the highs. plenty of 60s. 63 degrees expected in campbell. 63 and walnut creek. upper 50s for downtown san francisco. we

are clear. we are dry. this approaching cold front could bring light rain to the pacific northwest. for the bay area, probably not any wet weather until thursday. possibly some precipitation for the weekend northbound 101 at 280 so far, it has been cleared. from earlier. the bridge is looking decent of oakland, san francisco, san mateo bridge, just one minute and to end, 12 minutes. and problem-free some fog out of the north bay. >> eight people are dead following a highway collision involving a tour bus in southern california.

the c-h-p says the crash involved a tour bus, a pickup truck and another vehicle. the collision happened about 80 miles east of los angeles near the town of forest falls. at least 27 other people were injured. the crash remains under investigation. >> in other bay area news. san jose police are investigating a shooting that killed one person and injured another. the shooting happened last night around nine in the one-thousand block of audubon drive. when police arrived they found two victims, one was pronounced dead at the scene, the other was taken to the hospital with non- life threatening injuries. so far, no arrests have been made. >> san jose police are also investigating a fire that happened a marijunan grow house in a residential neighborhood. the fire happened late last night around 11:45 in the 500 block of scottsville court. according to fire officials, the fire is under control and no injuries have been reported. the cause of the fire remains under investigation. >> all lanes have reopened

on southbound interstate 280 in burlingame following a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. the crash happened just after 8:30 last night south of trousdale drive. the c-h-p says at least two people were injured. it is believed that the motorcycle was driving recklessly before the crash. >> no injuries have been reported following a one- alarm fire in san francisco's western addition neighborhood. authorities say the fire broke out just after 11 p-m in the 2-thousand block of geary boulevard. no word yet on what sparked the blaze. (sound of whistle) >> that's a member of the sisters of perpetual indulgence. testing out one of the safety whistles they were giving away on cortland avenue in san francisco's bernal heights. in addition to the whistles, they were also dispensing safety tips. all because of a crime wave

that's been plaguing that area in recent weeks. several people have been mugged in the early evening hours. >> some of these were armed. even some people were pistol whipped >> it's believed that most of the victims were targeted because they were paying more attention to their phones or electronic devices. instead of their surroundings. >> police are looking for a man suspected of exposing himself to children in concord. on sunday, police responded to reports that a man had exposed himself to children at a chuck e cheese on willow pass road and market. investigators believe the man is mentally disabled and witnesses tell police that he has a history of exposing himself to children in the area. >> the randall museum in san francisco is getting a 6-million dollar makeover.

the city's board of supervisors are expected to approve a state grant tomorrow for the reconstruction. the grant would pay to double the area of the museum's exhibit and programming space. the randall museum has been giving children free interactive edcuation on nature and science for more than 60 years. >> virgin america is announcing a new service from san jose mineta international airport to los angeles. starting may first. the carrier plans to offer four daily non-stop flights to los angeles while hoping to get a better feel for the san jose market. the announcement comes just weeks after another carrier, all nippon airways, began offering non-stop service from san jose to tokyo. the japanese airline was forced to temporarily halt the service because of problems with its new boeing 787 dreamliner jets. >> internet-based ""ride- hailing"" apps such as "lyft", "uber" and "sidecar" are expanding rapidly in san francisco, new york and other u-s cities. but taxi operators say these ride-summoning services are little more than illegal cabs that don't

not that bad through the east bay but it could get worse. sunshine however, mixing with the clouds and the sun and the slightly cooler in some spots. the rain chance is a ride on thursday. traces. with sunny skies as the go for next week. here is the visibility chart. santa rosa, novado, with one half mile in napa. fairfield has dropped by 2.5 mi. certainly drive with extra caution. keep a close eye on the cars in front of you. temperatures by lunch indicating 50s. but check out the inland areas quite different. where we could see those 60s. later, could be a mixture of 40's and

this will bring light rain perhaps just traces nothing too much to concern ourselves with with windy conditions. and sunshine. i think the bigger story is how cold it is going to be. temperatures only toughing out the mid '50s. we will see a few degrees and a saturday, sunday but check out the neighborhood lows. just above freezing. taking a look at traffic no hot spots is the approach to the bay bridge is pretty good. no delays on any of the bridges. and here at the san mateo bridge alive look with the westbound direction. and southbound 101 looking pretty good. just 23 minutes out of novado into the city. and also in very good shape

on super bowl sunday animal planet had their 9th annual puppy bowl! with the most lovable line- up on tv, it's billed as the "ruffest" game on four legs. these cute puppies basically play with chew toys until one happens to cross into the end zone. the puppy bowl is a really big draw for the cable network.and it's pretty easy

here in san francisco, the streets were much quieter than when the giants won the world series. to get you more news faster we turn to kron four solo reporter mike pelton who joins us live from san francisco's mission district. mike? it looks pretty quiet out there. >> reporter: the streets are clean, quiet and it is a far cry. but i have seen some officers it remains calm it does not stop the fans from taking to the streets. in total, 25 arrests. public intoxication. the helicopter partnership with bottles and officers and other tried to light seven on fire but it was quickly contained. others let off city fireworks street side. the
